TIN POD #34: T.U.M. STORY ONE, CHAPTER 3

Tin Universe presents the next chapter in it's new audio fiction series Tin Pod #34: T.U.M. Story One, Chapter 3 written by Brian C. Williams and narrated by Stacey Taylor.

The first Tin Universe story hits it's time for audio adaption. Just as with book one of T.U.M.G.S. when T.U.M. Book One is finished it will be collected into one whole audio book and sold for a charity to be named later.
And that reminds me to tell you you can download the last audio series a whole audio book here and all profits made from the downloads will go to Trans Lifeline for as long as the book is here on Podbean. Trans Lifeline works to end transgender suicide and improve overall mental health of transgender people through education, advocacy, and direct service. They empower trans people to help one another, and to shape collective efforts by drawing upon their wealth of individual experiences.

Shortlisted #7: The Teething Of Year One

Eryn and Brian talk about the first year of Shortlsited, podcasting in general, and there are clips from some bits cut from shows. For those who wish a look behind the scenes stay until the music ends for a listen to a section (a long section) of our first meeting after recording episode one. Oh, and there is a long bit of Harry Potter talk thrown in because this is Eryn we are talking about.
Shortlisted, the podcast where the hosts take a Top Ten list off the internet, because there are a few, and talk about it in a timed out amount of space. They just set a clock, and maybe not always at the right time, and talk for an hour, and then shut up no matter if they've made it through the list or not. They're not racing against time, they're shortlisting their big mouths.
Contact us to suggest a list or tell us we need to talk faster: shortlistedpod@gmail.com

S.N.M.N. #15: Thor Ragnarok Car Talk

The Triumvirate get together for the first time in months to talk Thor: Ragnarok before and after seeing the movie. This was recorded in a car so there shall be beeps, cracks, and construction noises. Just a FYI.
S.N.M.N. Is a podcast where three friends spent a good couple hours together eating, drinking. letting off steam, and being best friends for ever and eva. It's a mess to edit this maddness but a lot of fun to be there.

TIN POD #31: Interview With Rick Shea

Rick Shea is the owner of our local comic book store Famous Faces And Funnies and he agreed to sit down and talk to us about the current state of the comic industry, what is selling in his store, and what he thinks the future holds. FFF is really no bullshit the best comic store I've ever been in, and I always hit the local bookstores wherever we travel. The staff knows their stuff, are always friendly, and the place is just cool. Who else has a giant Bender painted on their wall? I ask you who else? During the talk we dive into whether comci book movies sell books, the mistakes Marvel have made, and many more subjects. No hype Rick is one of the hardest working people I've ever met so give it a listen and if you're near stop in and say Tin Pod Radio sent you :)

Banned Books Week: Day One 2017

BANNED BOOKS WEEK:

an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Typically held during the last week of September, it highlights the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers — in shared support of the freedom to seek and express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.

TIN POD #29: INTERVIEW WITH PRO-WRESTLING EVE

A new season of Tin Pod kicks off with an interview with the runners of Pro-Wrestling Eve, Emily Read and Dann Read. The two of them were nice enough to join us to chat for a bit about womens wrestling, their philosphy with Eve, how the promotion has touched lives, and what the future holds.
"EVE is the ground-breaking feminist-punk-rock wrestling promotion, founded and operated by Emily and Dann Read who since 2006 have continually played a major part in the popularity and increased exposure of the female professional wrestling scene. Forget everything you thought you knew about this previously male-owned world and see what happens when a bipolar, home schooling mum of two combines her passions of feminism, punk, politics, mental health and pro-wrestling to create EVE, a night of death-defying, jaw dropping, action packed, wrestling stunts fueled with cabaret, comedy and so much more!"
You can find all you need to know about Pro Wrestling Eve: http://www.evewrestling.com/
We recommend the Piledrive A Facist shirt.
At the end of this month with Tin Pod #30 the audio stories of the Tin Universe returns with the first part of T.U.M. #1. Come back then to the writing of Brian C. Williams and the voice of the universe Stacey Taylor.
And a reminder you can download the whole last audio series a whole audio book here and all profits made from the downloads will go to Trans Lifeline for as long as the book is here on Podbean. The Return Of TUM

I'm decided on bringing back an old Tin Universe project because you know, nothing else on my plate. I'm bringing back Tin Universe Monthly. As I'm starting the audio adaptions of the series next month so it's time. TUM was my most popular project along with Tin Universe Daily but both were a lot more work than people would think. So starting next month you will be getting a story the last week of each month. Could be anything from a novella to flash fiction size FREE. All of these works have been finished for a while and I'm just going to give them another rewrite before releasing to keep things timely.

Art Delivers

In college I published a number of small print run comics and 8 page short stories. For the most part a lot of bad spelling and copy cat storytelling on my part but that's how you learn. Or at least how I learn. Self-publishers, editors, hire them, they important. The below image was suppose to be one of the short stories but when I took it to the normal guy who was printing my books he refused to print it because... well, when I asked why he pulled out his wallet and showed me a actual fucking KKK business card.
I ended up just printing out tons of the cover art on college printers and posted all over campus but got in trouble for that too. I've used this art for a few things and each time it brings out the assholes. Art is how I deal with things. I write, I work with artists, I create. Sometimes its to make others smile and laugh, sometimes to make me smile and laugh, and other times to tell a big Fuck You to those that need that message delivered as much as possible.
If I can find it I'll post a piece of artwork that got me my first death threat as a creator.
I just thought of this piece of artwork tonight and pulled it out to talk about art. We all can't be warriors, or politicians, or leaders, or other things and other things, but do your part by being who you are and use it to resist, remember, and fight.
