April 2015 Lootcrate

This months Lootcrate was so cool. t-shirt, drives, ties, and cards to play with. When I got the box I thought it was really small and it must just have a bunch of pins or something. No, this small package was full of big fun.

Again, as always the box was really cool.

Now, I finally have a bow tie and it's a RPG one with dragons on it. Now just to lose some weight so I don't like like a fat Pee Wee Herman wearing it.

Holy Stark sigil !!!

This is really cool.

See what I mean, awesome.
And Mar grabbed it right away.

And here comes some Princess Bride greatness with this deck of cards. One of my all time favorite movies.

And the crown goes to.

I've never played D&D but I love this shirt.

Mar put in her claim to this Harry Potter luggage tag right off.

And more Game Of Thrones fun with some magnets.

Sunday Night Movie Night with Greek food, perler beads, and Game Of Thrones

One of my favorite local festivals is the once a year Greek Festival. Mar found a Groupon on their site for free admission so to start our Sunday Night Movie Night Mar, myself, and Queen spent the early part of the day eating and enjoying good music with friends.
As the parking is pay and the parking lot to the small church that runs the festival isn't that large to begin with we found someplace near by to park and walked there. If you go sometime in the future they usually have a place were you can park and take a free shuttle.
The following are some photos with brief comments and some not so brief...I tend to run on a bit... or more than a bit:
We got to the festival early but after walking around the location to see what was all there before doing anything the place was soon packed with people and the lines for food were really long.
They had really good stuff in the bakery area.  Nice pieces also as part of many raffles. The prices in here and at the whole festival were really good too. I mean drinks were under $5 which is a big deal considering how much they are at most events these days. Even water is usually around the $5 range at events.
There was Baklava and Baklava and even a Baklava sundae that had us all talking about it but knowing we'd be eating enough sugar later we stayed away.
Well, except for one small piece for taking home.
They had some cool crafts but I don't' think as many as in previous years. I love the fact that one of the labels for one of the nude statues said "artistic nudes" Way to clarify it people, otherwise there would have been Sodom and Gomorrah in the tent without that label.
Mar and Queen really loved some of the jewelry but I liked the statues.
This was probably my favorite.
This really beautiful mask too.
I got the sampler of food and quickly sat down as Mar and Tina waited for their food. While sitting there I had to keep getting up because people were trying to push wheelchairs between tables. There just wasn't enough room and the people in the wheelchairs keep telling the people pushing them but they wouldn't listen and then had to back out the way them came since there wasn't enough room to turn around. It always pisses me off when you see someone in a wheelchair and the person pushing them is ignoring anything they say.
Mar and Queen got pizza, BOOORING :) But before they got back with their pizza I was saving them both seats. This guy come up with his kid and I told him I was saving the seats and he said, "Don't care, sitting down" Now there were plenty of other seats so it wasn't like there wasn't anywhere else to sit. He just stared at me after sitting down and I told him he was a "Fucking asshole" and when Mar and Queen came with the food he just stared at us and we smiled.
There was also a women yelling all over the place looking for a spot in the shade and I said this to Mar and almost made her spit take, "My names Trudy Beckman and I want a place in the shade!" Archer fans will get that.
That guy I talked about earlier was a full fledged asshole though as I just remembered because I heard him say he didn't let his kid choose what to eat and was pissed the kid didn't want to eat the lamb.
I kept thinking of this,
And again, pizza, BOOORING :)
Before we left Mar got something to take home for later and the line on the road to get into the church for parking as we passed by was backed up miles.

After the festival we worked on more perler bead projects while watching Game Of Thrones.
Queen made herself a pair of Minecraft earrings. I took a picture but as you can see from my other pictures my camera sucks and with this picture you couldn't even tell what they were :( but they looked cool :)
Though it wasn't really hot during the day I think it did take us down a bit because we all were way quieter than usual. Takes a lot to shut us up.
That or everyone hates me and they talked plenty when I was out of the room.
     Why does everyone hate me?
That's the sun rotating around me by the way.
Later we took a quick trip so we would have snacks for Walking Dead and were called stoners for our food choices as we were walking out of the store so that's as good as any way to end this post I think.

*if you want to see more of the perfler bead stuff we made check out my Tumblr.

Sunday Night Movie Night with hip checking, cookies, and thrones

We started the morning cleaning...well, we started the morning trying to find any reason to not get out of bedroom but before any cleaning I made us a big breakfast of white gravy, scrambled eggs, and biscuits so we had plenty of energy. That's the official breakfast choice of mean librarians and delusional writers.
Though I usually brown up some meat or bacon to put in with everything else when I make a big breakfast but I forgot this time. Next time I guess.
The cleaning went quicker than we thought it would, or we had just hit the point of "This dump can only be cleaned so much" and we called the Queen and said lets slam this day into gear early since we were going to eat out for once.
This was the first Sunday Night Movie Night in a few weeks because of different people being sick {for once it wasn't me} so we had a lot to talk about which made eating out for this time even though much of a better fit.
     Plus, MOE'S!
One of our favorite places to eat in the few times when we eat out is Moe's. Pretty good prices, good portions for the money, and good food also.
     Plus Plus, "WELCOME TO MOE'S!"
The people who work there must have to down a shit load of double shots every night to get that out of their heads so they can sleep.
     WELCOME TO MOE'S!
     WELCOME TO MOE'S!!
     WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!!
     WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!!
     WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!!!
     WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!!!!
The place was packed so I jumped out of line after telling Mar what I wanted and grabbed us a table. When in line at a busy place its good to have three people in your attack party. One person needs to be there to claim a table and the other two take the duty of being the people who defend the place in line. I'm good for table duty because I'm not above hip checking an old lady to get a nice booth by the window. A window booth is so you can look at those people sitting outside eating. What were they raised in a barn or something?
After lunch it was time for watching more Game Of Throne as we just started rewatching the whole series during the last Sunday Night Movie Night because Queen hadn't seen any of it yet and we really like it. So far I think she's enjoying it also.
But we needed snacks so I platted out some Girl Scout cookies and a cut apple.
While watching Game Of Thrones I commented something I think I say every time I watch the early episodes.
Me-"Sean Bean and Triple H look like brothers."
Mar response-"But Vince hasn't taken his head yet."
     Me-"Give him time."
While watching the show I was also reading Marshal Law: The Deluxe Edition. So far pretty good. I've been wanting to read Marshal Law for years but then found out by surprise that one of our local libraries had a copy of this deluxe edition. "I don't like being a bastard, but they leave me no choice."
After Mar and Queen went off to watch The Walking Dead I decided it was a good time to catching up myself on Game Of Thrones as I still hadn't seen the second part of season three.
Again, another good simple fun night with friends.

Sunday Night Movie Night with chili, Game Of Thrones, and non-shitting babies

After a couple nights cancelled because of life the gang is back together for another Sunday Night Movie Night. It's a gathering of crazy on the scale of a morning thought from Warren Ellis or being inside the head of the great Phyllis Diller during sex.
There was talk about pregnant men in love with rejecting cops, non-shitting babies, Bieber, books, food, and scary ways to die all while watching National Treasure and Game Of Thrones.
But before we get to any of that, though most of our conversations couldn't make it into a blog entry without arrests and shutdowns to follow, cleaning must happen. Our apartment is a falling apartment, owned by fuckcraps, shit zone but we try to clean it the best we can, especially when we have royalty coming over.
Cleaning is one of the best things about Sunday Night Movie Night. No really. It makes me get off my ass and clean the place from top to bottom....or close to it at least once a week when I've been lazy during the week emoing about  my life.
Though I think we may have killed another vacuum already and we just got this one on Black Friday.
Let me change that to the cats and crappy carpet killing another vacuum.
After I started cleaning I stopped for a break to make breakfast before we forget to eat. Turkey and cheese scrambled eggs. While cooking I was singing Don't Stope Believin in the kitchen to protest signs from mar and the cats.
As I cleaned Mar made chili and cornbread. It's one of the few dishes she makes but its always really good. This time she experimented and tried chopped tomatoes instead of tomato paste. I think it worked out really good.
I texteded Queen to see if she was up and also let her know my rapping to Mo Money Mo Problems was something she was missing out on. You people should be jealous you don't get to listen to the glorious noise that is me trying to sing. That's more motivation for me to start a YouTube channel.
On the drive to pick up Queen we stopped off at the grocery store. I drooled over bad grocery store sushi because even bad sushi is sushi. We grabbed some tea and then hit back on the road listening to AFI and arguing over which is the better CD of theirs. I say it's Decemberunderground. I think I win.
     I also do.
     I don't.
The drive back had from picking Queen up had her telling stories and me telling her she seriously needs to write a book. She's really talented and I think some the stories she tells would make great short stories or a flash fiction collection. I've read stories she's written before and actually as I type this I'm bugging her to do it by text messages.
Queen made cookies and her mom made rice for us. Her mother and her are great cooks. I love her moms rice big time. I don't know what she does but it always turns out better than mine. Maybe it's the magical pot she cooks it in. I should have snatched it and took it to a lab for study to uncover its secrets.
It didn't take the ladies long to to find their seats and get into talk, a movie, and the cookies. Though I had already eaten several on the drive back to the apartment.
Everyone thinks I sit in the back so Queen and Mar can talk.
     Not true.
I set in the back so I sneak and eat any food that just so happens to be sitting to the side of me.
We winged it on what to do for the night. Thought about playing games or just watching the National Treasure movies but when we found out Queen hadn't seen Game Of Thrones and wanted to after the first film we were watching boobs, beheadings, and butts, and trying not to spoil anything for her but its so hard.
Mar found herself looking up something she thought I was making up but it turned out I was right.
How do you like that lady.
     BOOM!!!
Queen was, as she usually does, trying not to have her picture taken by me but I'm a sneaky bastard at times.
     TEXTING YOU :)
     Inside joke, sorry.
As usual the drive to take Queen home was just as entertaining as any other part of the night, sometimes even better because on the drive we are tired and more than likely to be even crazier.
Having friends to spend time with is a very good thing to have in your life. Friends, food, and the willingness to always GO THERE is a hallmark when these three people get together.
After Mar went to bed I tried to stay up watching The Day Of The Doctor and write this blog entry but failed completely.

Where I talk about FIFA 02 Season 1 Games 1-5, some star only reviews, and there's other stuffs:

FIFA Soccer 2002 Season 1, Games 1-5
{I know it's a really old version of the game Mr. I have a PS3}
     ECC: Liverpool Vs. Maribor
*I'm playing with my favorite team Liverpool and this is the first time I've played any sports game, never the mind a Soccer, outside of Madden in a really really long time. I played several games because I'm all hyped right now with Euro 2012 taking place and me being able to watch all of them so far. I'll be playing on Professional Level to start out so lets see how I did with my first game, a ECC Tournament game. I gave up a penalty right off the back. I think my players think they are playing American football. At the half it was 0-1. They had so many shots on goal, like 13 to 3. Garrad will also miss my next game because he decided to drop kick the goal keeper for Maribor. And he seems like such a nice guy on TV?
GOAL! Patrik Berger.
By transfer I bought in Landon Donovan from the SJ Earthquakes and Steve Mcmanaman from Real Madrid. Spending some Liverpool cash up in here. And in the end the final score was Liverpool-1 Vs. Maribor-3
     EPL: Liverpool Vs. West Ham
*My first Premier League game and I'm without two starting players on suspension. I was thinking I had to get a better goal keeper. I did in the transfer window as I picked up Olivee Kohn from Manchester United. Turns out that wasn't my issue, my problem was I was, sort of, you know.... using the wrong buttons to pass and shoot. And in the end the final scare was Liverpool-0 Vs. West Ham-8
     ECC: Maribor Vs. Liverpool
*The second game of the ECC and I needed a win or I was gone from the tournment without barely being in it. I'm out of the tournment having barely been in it.
GOAL! Fowler.
And in the end the final score was Maribor-1 Vs. Liverpool-1
     EPL: Bolton Vs. Liverpool
*My second Premier League game was me running rough shot over Bolton and thinking, falsely, that I had this game down. I was wrong. See next game for proof.
GOAL! Owen GOAL! Owen GOAL! Berger GOAL! Owen GOAL!Gerrad GOAL!Gerrad
And in the end the final score was Bolton-0 Vs. Liverpool-6
     EPL: Liverpool Vs. Aston Villa
*I have a problem. I can't do crosses worth shit. Is it this version of the game or me. I don't know but crosses never work for me. They look like out of control floating balloons when I try crosses.
GOAL! Mcmanaman GOAL! Owen GOAL!Owen
And in the end the final score was Liverpool-3 Vs. Aston Villa-5

*book reading update. I found out why I was having problems sitting down and reading The Tomb even though I was loving the time I was spending with it. The copy I got from the library was all musty driving my asthma nuts. I didn't really notice until reading some of it one night in the bedroom. I'm going to try and see if I can find a better copy at a used book store, not many around here, or maybe buy it new and donate after reading it.
