To Jupiter For A Lighthouse And Some Blowing Rocks

This entry will be mainly just photos. And I'm not going to put a million on here but if you follow me on Facebook, and my Facebook is public, you might see more as the week goes on as I look through all 380 that I took on Sunday and pick out some I like.

If you have any questions let me know. I would recommend anyone visiting both the Jupiter Lighthouse and the Blowing Rock Reserve.

Though I had a sad because the Burt Reynolds Museum was closed down to relocate

The lighthouse, museum, gift shop, and lighthouse grounds were very cool. They are right next to a very nice park also and share space with Navy grounds some of which are off limits so watch where you wonder.
The lighthouse was really cool looking from this angle because of its surroundings.
On the bottom of the lighthouse grounds is a beautiful tree growth. Also a area where you can rent it for weddings. I look like a vacationing hobo in this picture. I bet my friend Tankgirl would get some beautiful pictures around there.
Mar ready to go up. She has no fear of heights. I'm not scared but when you are as fat as me you know you will fall faster than others. Something about that bothers me in a truly illogical way.
Of all of the pictures when we got up top I liked this one the most. I'm strange that way.
Look Mar finds a library everywhere.
Eating our packed lunch on the shore area outside of the lighthouse  museum .
The Hawley Education Center is across the road from the Blowing Rocks Preserve and only about 15 minutes from the lighthouse.
It costs $2 dollars to get into the preserve. Well worth it. Some rich old fuckers threw a fit about the $2 charge. It's not much for what you get to enjoy and the money goes back to the preserve. Remember whenever you visit a park or preserve any charge for entry or gift shop items goes back to keeping things up.
The walkway down to the preserve.
I wish I had a better camera. If you read this Tankgirl you really have to go here. You will get some really nice pictures.
I don't know if it was just hot out or the fact of the rocks and shell beach sand but it was really hot. Nice views though as you can see from this.
She claims in the name of Dewey.
Told you it was hot.

A TEASPOON CAN KILL

So I got a call from Wave and her phone has died in a water bottle accident; so, if you are someone reading this who maybe trying to get ahold of her, you can't! it drowndeded. She will be trying to make provisions to replace soon.

Onto writng updates, I'm basically finished with the YA/Junior fiction book I was writing and now I'm in search of an editor. I'm looking at a possiable May release date and will be deciding if it should be a PDF release like my first book or a bound print run. All of this will be discussed with the editor and others as the months march on. Oh, and to an extra point if I do release as a print bound book I will also release as a PDF to cover both grounds and have the PDF at a cheaper price. All depends on how much cash I have at the date of publication. Right now I'm thinking PDF but if the Gods shine down maybe I will have the cash to self-publish as a printed as in paper book.

And with the above being said it is time to move on to the next project which I think will be the next book in The Tin Universe series that started with Stereo. Yes, that was pimping. Go buy now and support my funds for hiring a quility(=money money)artist for the cover of the next book in the series. The first books cover had a basic minialist feel I love but the next I will probably be going more in the direction of a old style movie poster for it.

I'll end linking to a entry on Neil Gaiman's journal where he writes about freedom of speech and I think it is worth everyone reading.
Why defend freedom of icky speech?

THE TITLE IS: EVEN IF I SPELL CHECK HERE THE FRICKING PHONE DOESN'T HAVE A SPELL CHECKER THINGEE!

My head is killing me. No, it has nothing to do with the drinking I phone texted in about though. I took four sips of my drink and turned it over to Wave while I ordered a coke as my meal came in of pasta and shrimp. My head was killing me when we made a short stop at B@N but Wave bought me the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine and I spent the last hour distracting myself from the pain in my teeth and head by chewing through every bit of information the magazine had within it. Basically what I normally do when I get a new issue. What this will probably lead to is me staying up late watching some of my Who DVDs. Maybe Robot...wait, I only have that on VHS, ok, whatever. I always enjoy Tom Baker's performance in his first story and anyways that's why I have a dual DVD and VHS player.

Oh, and to prove my geekism spirit is beyond measure, Yes, I do have copies of some stories on VHS and also DVD. Some in different VHS versions, DVD, audio soundtrack, and paperback adaptions. Lets see Wil Wheaton top that?

Enought geek talk.

Good night,

THE TITLE IS: NOT CUTE ENOUGH FOR HOTDOGS

From the library the other day I brought home the DVD sets of Michael Palins: Around The World In Eighty Days and The Office: The First Season(British original of course.) Both of these programs I had viewed before but a few years ago, 80 Days a long time ago, and enjoyed both then and now on a second watching. I love a good late night watching. Watchings include Pepsi or any soda, french fries preferred but you can also replace with chips or pizza on my birthday, some sort of dip for all the bits that fall off all the bits of the stuff above, and a Moleskine near by in case any sugar fits lead to any worthwhile ideas or not so worthwhile as some cases are judged.

After working on Mexican Coffee during the morning hours I came into the living room and hung out with the cats for a while watching My Name Is Earl, season one which is from Wave's collection. As soon as I run into some extra cash, if the concept still exists, I want to get her Season Two. Speaking of the lady I love, she came home for lunch and I made her two grilled cheeses and myself a feta cheese homemade hotpocket with mushrooms also and together we watched more Earl.

My days task was to watch the balcony in case it starts to rain because then I would have to race in our cloths from the line and the fold up couch. I failed in my days task. This case was judged- DUMBASS!

I packed Wave's dinner before she headed back to work and thus my day was Coffee, Earl, grilled cheese, and failure. See this is way I don't do these type of daily routine blogs. I get way too emo. Now I'm off the net to go do the dishs.

THE TITLE IS: TIME FLIGHT

Wave bought me, Billy, The lover boy of....ok, enough non-sense. She bought me this Doctor Who DVD Time Flight. I have no memory of watching this during my youth and I never purchased it on tape so it was a good day with a Doctor Who I had not seen to my older me's chances of recall.

THE TITLE IS: Writer Boy...ok, Toast Boy

Look I'm actually doing work and writing. Matter of fact I'm working on two books at once at the moment. I wonder if other writers when they do this dual writing ever are tempted to do crossovers in the middle of writing booth books? I guess that is my delusion to bare.
Though to be honest I'm getting ready to make Wave some toast but then I'm right back to to the words, and the writing, and the rwriting, and the frustrations.....I'd better get the toast now. Oh, and the mess behind me is mine because I still haven't thrown out a bunch of stuff from the move. I thought I would point that out since it is my mess.

THE TITLE IS: SOUNDS OF JIMMY

While Wave was off listening to foo fighters and people who eat worlds sing with her little sister Trill I had another phone call from family, joy, and worked on some writing. I also watched DOCTOR WHO: INFERNO and I am currently watching DOCTOR WHO:MARK OF THE RANI. Man, I have to find a way to sleep better at night soon or I'm going to go nuts. That or I'm going to ware out all my dvds fast. It's just too quite for me at night to sleep and my nerves are shot right now so any little sound wakes me. I sleep better during the day because there is more background noise to filter through my head and the only way I can sleep at night is taking a hang full of pms.

THE TITLE IS: I LOSE MYSELF WHEN I NEED TO

Watching THE MIGHTY HEART right now with Wave. Well, sort of watching it with her. She is watching it more than I am because I tend to not watch reality or true stories. I like my movie escapism with escape from the things from the world which make me pull my fingernails down my face. With true stories I tend to read books. Does that say something? Don't know???

THE TITLE IS: TJI...What day is it?

Earlier in the day Wave's mother and Trill stopped by for a visit. I have to see if Trill will let me barrow the last episodes of Torchwood Season One because the new season should be starting soon. Not that I will know because we don't have any sort of cable but it would be good to get caught up anyways. I'm behind in the Doctor Who Universe.

After a trip to B&N that saw me pick up Volume Three of 52 Wave, Myself, and our friend Piper ate at Fridays. Pictures to follow with smart ass comments.

Wave and myself, picture taken by Piper.

Our friend Piper with a T-shirt that reads- Don't and Stand. I know, I don't understand either. It's an in joke.

A picture of Wave letting me know of the things she will do to me later.

THE TITLE IS: UNDERSTANDING

During the past few days I have been thinking a lot about what friendships mean to me. One of the things I think is most important to a friendship is understanding. How can you love someone without understanding them? How can you be there for someone when they may need you if you do not understand them? How can you cry for someone unless you understand them? Now we as human beings can not ever fully know each other completly but understanding has nothing to do with completness(sp?) or knowing. Understanding is something else because knowing and completness(sp?) is about self to the other. Understanding is putting yourself in the shoes of the other who you love. It's not a seperate action its an action of one.

I love my friends. My Soul Friends are my family. I try my best to understand them. I'm in a mood I get in from time to time when I need to say I love you to my friends. Some read this blog, most probably do not even know about it. But still understanding is also about reaching out.

Brave Summers, Oracle, July, Mo, Shortfrie, Alia Sun, Robin Bird, Wave, Des, Calm, Ghost, Speede, and Tankgirl. I love each one of you and my love in trying to understand you is my fight for you and I will fight for those I love until my dying breath.

Remember not knowing who you are is not excuse for not being who you are,

THE TITLE IS: BACK IN THE OLD MECC DAYS

I had a great day yesterday with Wave. Just spending time together and being out away from our apartment which I sometimes believe homes can be one of the most depressing places to be when doing through rough patchs. Of late we really haven't had the money for doing that much but we went to a used book store, had hotdogs at our favorite local joint, and went to a library. I love spending time with the person I love.

Last night I received an email from a old friend who I had not heard from in years. I had looked for her online for a couple years but last week I found a email address to someone that could be her. After sitting for a while afraid to send her a email in thinking that maybe no one from that time in my life would wish to talk to me again. I distanced and cut myself off from a lot of people who I loved to get my head straight. Doing so took a while and I did not know if anyone wished to coutinue to be friends with me even though I still considered all of them loved ones to my soul. Soul Friends as I put it. A few people from that time have made it clear that they no longer wish to speak with me, which I understand, so I was scared this would be the case with my friend who I nicknamed Alia Sun. But after sending a email to the addy I found I got back a response. A response that made my soul tingle. One of the few things that have happen to me of late that has made me smile.

Checked out DVD's of, All Creatures Great And Small, and The Tomorrow People. Letting those spell noise and visuals as I write the next book in the Tin Universe. Oh, and to pimp myself, remember the link above where you can order the first book which introduces the Tin Universe, STEREO.

THE TITLE IS: SMILES DON'T WORK WHEN YOU'VE HAD THINGS SHOVED UP FOR MILES

The pay the rent job is driving a nail down my spine at a sideways angle. Or in other words, it is really getting on my nerves, pissing me off, getting up my shorts- And not in any good way either on all three counts.

Mar’s mom is still in the hospital. I’m going to do everything I can to try and help release some stress I may cause or can help with. Tonight, I buy milk on the way home so my love can have coffee in the morning. Thanks P for asking and sending good wishes. I will let her know people are thinking about her mom during this time. Even some who have not meet her.

I have a ton of reports and other sorts of work to get done tonight and I have to be in at 10am in the morning so I will not be able to do much of a post. I will be starting my, “trying to eat better” effort tomorrow when I try to cut down my daily calorie intake to around 1500calories per day. I can’t quite soda cold turkey because of the headaches it gives me when I do not drink them but I plan to watch my diet on everything else. Today I did not do so well. 2060 calories. Now I don’t have exact facts on the stuff they serve in the work cafeteria so I compared to McDonalds stuff and figured it couldn’t be anymore. At least their stuff isn’t really greasy. The sodas are what will really kill me because they are 250cal per bottle. Shit son that sucks. And of course all of this will do me jack shit if I don’t start exercising also.

Right now writing wise I’m working on a script for a web comic that will be used to set up and promote the book. Still searching for an artist for it but it is coming along nicely and surprising me in ways that I think it will make itself interesting to others. Found the editor I want for the book also so that project as a whole is moving along nicely.

Well, that’s it for tonight. Keep Mar’s mom in your thoughts,

THE TITLE IS: MY GRAY CELL SENSE IS SCREAMING

Hello Internet. How are you today? Do you hear the sounds of change coming? I thought maybe you would since I have two computers on my desk. Well, I guess I will just ride them out and see what happens.

Billy needs to exercise his little gray cells because this job is turning them into little gray puddles of goo. Like the goo you find on the bottom of your shoe sometimes and wonder how anything could look like gooey.

I loved the weekend, the weekend was great. Heaven I wonder why? Oh, yea, I did not have to fucking work for once and had some days off. Though the main reason was not,not working and I do not care how wrong it is to write "not, not." Having the chance to spend good time with Wave and we did not do anything remotely eventful such as even small eventful like attending a movie. We ate together, shopped together, sleep together, laughed together, punched each other in the arms until bruises came up, and had great sex. And yes in that order. I want more weekends like that. I think I will nailed a little note saying as such on God's back with an arrow head tipped nail just so he does not forget I was there.

I have some other creative projects besides the novel developing right now but wish not to speak of such things until they get going because the 'You should not speak of such things until they are finished elf's will get angry.' Lets just saying even starting more creative universes makes my soul feel better. The book itself is moving along slowly with all the hours I put in at the day job I have to prioritize what things I do in my limited spare time and top of the list is spending time with loved ones and it always shall be with me for the rest of my life. Those I loved be them friends or lovers or even strangers who may become one or the other or maybe even both are one of the most important things to me. I have let friends drift out of my life because of working too much on many things and I will not let that happen again.

FUCK!!! I forgot to take out the garbage. Billy is going to hit up side the head tonight and not in the good, "Say my name Bitch!" sort of way he likes either. I don't really like that though. It would make me cry. Sorry, Wave. I'm a dumbass and went back to bed after you called and almost over sleep.

THE TITLE IS: HARRY LOOKED LIKE A ROB LIEFIELD COSTUME DESIGN

After work yesterday we went to see Spiderman, which I enjoyed but the first movies were better I think. I really do not like the multipale bad guy movies when they do them in comic films and The Green Goblin customes still get up my geek boy. Updates are fine but the desgins just sucked and they should have just stayed with the original from the comics. Then they could have made Harry The Hobgoblin in this one. Plus Venmon is just way too cool not to be the main focus of a movie. Seeing how much they put into this one makes me think this will be the last one by this great director. I just hope when they coutinue this if even by a different cast and crew they coutinue the story. I don't want to see another fucking origin story.

After the movie Wave took us to the beach for night play in the water. I love you Wave,

THE TITLE IS: TRY TO UNDERSTAND HE'S THE MAGIC MAN

Yesterday I got up at 5am to make sure the cleaned smocks were brought back to work in time for the shift that morning. I did not plan to work much on Saturday and did not but I did not leave for good reasons either. I had to leave around 9am to get home because I was feeling dizy and ill. I slept until around 5 when Wave got home and we went out for food and to cash my check. We ate at Friday's and then headed to Wal-Mart so I could cash my check. While there at the Satan's home turff we feed the beast by buying some discount DVD's. Wave picked up a doulbe pack which included a Joh Cusack movie for me and a Johnny movie for her, she loves Johnny but then again who doesn't? I picked up a triple pack which contained all three Jack Ryan movies and also for a fiver I got the Best Of He-Man....Ok,ok, off the floor and stop laughing. Onwards people, onwards. While in Wal-Mart we picked up some drink mix and beer and then off to the liquar store on the way home for the ice and best bits to go with the drinks to be created by Wave. The rest of the night was spent watching movies and spending time together.

I could not sleep and awoke this morning at 8am. And I of course being Brian C. Williams, being the son of Nadine and Herbert Williams, and the decedend of more than a few horse theives, I took the oppertunity and got things accomplished I needed to do. Yea, Who the fuck you dealing with here? I watched Pan's Labrynith(sp?)which I picked up last week and read some on a, Books Of Magic novel Wave picked up for me at the libuary. After eating at the Buffet where I stuffed myself full of shrimp once again until I felt sick I came into work where I find myself now as I type this up. I am only here for a few hours as a new employee learns her job. I will not speak of work any more than that because it just frustrates me and makes me angry and also I have been told that I almost always just talk about work. Probably why I'm also so on edge all the time. I need to correct that aspect of things and soon for my own health.

Good thoughts hoping Robbin is enjoying her time away from things. Everyone else just be good to each other or else the aliens will see how weak we are. And do you want the aliens to win? Well, do you?

AND THE TITLE IS: WHO’S BETTER THAN CANON?!

My last thought last night when leaving work at around 1am was,
“At least I don’t have to worry about Robin stealing my Slim Jim’s”

My first thought when coming into work today was,
“Why aren’t more people like Robin because I’M READY TO THROW SOFT TOY DUCKS AT SOME OF THESE SLACK OFFS!”

Mar? Put that on our to do list. Clone Robin! The world needs more Robin’s.

My current thoughts at work are,
“Wonder if I went home, would anyone notice? Damn me for being responsible!”

From Work Whining To Responses To Comments Left:

Love you Mar. Just needed to say it and it sort of fitted here nice and neat on its own.

Geek Speak:

Went to a bookstore today. They had a three for two deal on all comic trade paper backs. I picked up this and this and this and thisoops, this and this and this and finally this. The last one being one I will be donating to the local library for their YA section because the library does not have it and I think it should. After my book buying we stopped of at a clothing store for Wave and then we stopped off and picked up some clearance cloths at our favorite clearance clothing place for both of us before heading back and myself, I headed straight into work so I did not get a chance to read any of my new stuff yet. It was either spend $60 bucks on some trades or I was going to blow $200+ on a iPod. I think my bank account, if I actually had one, won on my choice. And yes I understand that is just rationalizing. My brain, my sanity. I might write some reviews as I read these but probably wont so don‘t expect anything.

FinishedThe Hardcore Diaries last night. Not as good as Mick Foley’s first two books but I did not know he had written two novels also so I will have to see if I can find those somewhere to check them out.

Back To Reality:

I typed up the first chapter of the second book in the book series that I’m currently working on the first book of last night. Now if that is not confusing enough I already wrote the first three chapters of book five in the series. All being done because I have to get certain future things in line for some characters in book one to make sure it flows correctly to the other books. Maybe not the best way to do things but it is my madness to play with. Besides the first book will be sort of a world building story and the rest are stand alone stories but because they exist in the same world they effect each other. And then only the last five are truly a continued story. Also each book moves forward in time so things need to march ahead correctly or I will kill myself being the canon geek that I am.

I give you a good night with this. Two sexy ladies there.

THE TITLE IS: EASTER SITTING, ON A EASTER CROSS DRESSER

…I’m here at 9am on a Saturday….and some people who were suppose to show did not. How do you think work is?…..

From Work Whining To Responses To Comments Left:

Mar, How am I suppose to answer comments like that? And you can really make a guy want to leave work in one dash of a rush.

As to a e-mail from a reader, and thank you for visiting, who asked do I think I should be allowed to tell Jesus to go fuck himself? Well, I actually said fuck you to Jesus so it is a little different but in fact yes I do think I should be allowed. And in fact even if there was a law saying other wise I guess I would be one of the first to lose his head over something like that. I think when I die and if I meet him he would be way more pissed about how people like yourself treat others than something I wrote in a online blog which is read by about 100 people daily; which in the long run is like whispering something to your next door neighbor and them never repeating it. My religious beliefs and beliefs in general are mine and mine alone and I share what I wish of them but growing up in a family of preachers and being a preachers son who has read and studied the bible more than most who like to spat off at the mouth I will tell you I find love and comfort in those words even if I do not believe all of them as fact. Hell if I know how people like you get what you get from reading it? Hate is hate anyway you wish to decorate and paint it. But then again you stare at the tile floor long enough you can see any pattern you wish to see and if you lie to yourself enough you will believe the lie.

Geek Speak:

As Wave was dancing off into sleep last night I tried to plant a subliminal message for her to stop by the local comic book shop while I was at work for Free Comic Book Day and pick me up some stuff. I will have to see if it worked when I get home.

Back To Reality:

With a strong backtrack to change the beginning because new characters wished to be born I found myself now walking back through the short story adding more substance these new characters bring to the story. They couldn’t show up at the end, No! Just had to be at the beginning. Bastards.

I give you a good night with this.

I THINK I NEED THE NET AT HOME

If I had the net at home I would probably be updating here 4 or 5 times a day. I’m debating on a DVD to watch, its either The Prestige that Wave’s mom rented, Big Trouble In Little China, (one of my all time favorite movies) a Doctor Who DVD, and I still have not gotten the chance to watch my Dungeons & Dragons Animated Series DVD set….I say Doctor WHO. I’m a proud smiling geek.
Now the question lays with which Doctor Who DVD to watch? I think I will go with some 10th Doctor New Earth and through the season.

My boss just called. I already did a text to let him know I was coming in late and he was already asking about things that are going wrong. I mean…Whatever, I like my boss but sometimes this job really gets on my nerves. Its like dealing with children who have other peoples lively hoods in their hands. But as long as I need this type of work to pay the rent it will do. I know what is going to happen in time though. One day I’m going to get shit for something I do not get done and I’m going to go off on someone. I have a very controlled professional temper but the one thing that can set up off is stupidity. My dedication towards getting the work done is my working seven days a week. My commitment to the company is my agreeing to become salaried thus saving the company days of pay to keep the payroll down.

GENETICALLY BACK FROM THE MOVIES

Writing this just as I came back from seeing Ghost Rider. I enjoyed the movie. The special effects were cool and I liked the humor of the film and the touches of Western elements. It was worth seeing on the big screen alone for the scene of the two Ghost Riders racing across the desert. I think this film very much like the Ghost Rider comics is about visuals. Cage did a great job with the character of Johnny Blaze and I do hope they do a sequel because of the same reasons I wanted Fantastic Four to get another second movie in that with the origin story out of the way they might just have the chance of doing something interesting. And from what I have seen of Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer they just may pull off a very good sequel.
I wanted to see Pan’s Labyrinth but it is already out of the small theater near by which carries smaller films so I will have to buy that when it comes out. Still lots of movies I want to see this year, the list containing-300, Transformers, Spiderman 3, Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, Harry Potter: The Order Of The Phoenix, and probably some I’m forgetting.

I was visiting one of my churches the other day. The one who will drive me broke one of these days, Best Buy. Nothing new Doctor Who DVD wise but March sees the release of The Sontaran Experiment and The Invasion on DVD. Really looking forward to The Invasion. Also coming out in March is the 10th Doctor novel Made Of Steel. Probably order that through the local B&N.
Also coming out in Doctor Who merchandise that month from Big Finish Audio are Renaissance Of The Daleks, Horror Of Glam Rock. And from Big Finish Books Short Trips: Destination Prague. I wonder if I could order those through B&N? Anyways, I need to start keeping up with new releases because I’m already way behind in Doctor Who books and have a couple of already released DVDs to pick up for my collection.
Enough about one of my addictions.

Hit 1000 + words into the novella Sunday night. I added to chapters from writing I did while at work.

On our way home from the movies we almost got into a car wreck when a SUV driver decided he wanted to be in a lane which Heaven forbid had another vehicle there. Then on the drive back also we found out one of Wave’s neighbors died in her sleep. Sad, Wave said she was really nice. Interesting this is that Wave’s families dog daily went over there every day to visit them and now the little dog is very sad.
