THE TITLE IS: I WANT TO GIVE THE SHIT AWAY!!!

After a throw and not catch with LuLu about me wanting to give the chapters of According To Testing away free and them questioning me on it at first, "Yes, I want to not charge for it, Give it away, Yep, for free." and then me trying to convince them I'm not a complete dumbass and something was wrong on their end it is finally up where it needs to be and where I wanted it to be in the first place and that is at a status of being free to download without paying for it. Though if it becomes a newsletter like I wish for it to be in a few months then I might go back to charging for, but not much, and so now here is part three along with parts one and two of According To Testing. FREE I'm still trying to work out how to get them to take my covers as I want them to but since I don't even have a program close to Photoshop to work with its taking time. I would post the cover but our computer doesn't like me opening files while on the net so I'll do that later... If I don't give up and just watch more Ugly Betty which I got from the library.

THE TITLE IS: THE THING THAT IS ME

There are so many things I wish I could do right now but can not because of choices I have made in my life. These things go from the simple wish of just being able to smile without self hate to being able to give currency to charities who need it desperately. These choices I have made have been good ones and bad ones. Unfortunately most have been somewhere between good and bad and within that greyness it shows my willingness for my life to be a quote of, survival. I have not been a bad person in my times of survival, Hell, I believe myself to be a pretty good friend when friends need me, Not a half bad lover, and all employers if they were forced to be honest would have to speak of my hard edged goal of working harder than anyone else even if I was not in a position where I needed to do so.

In my survival I have been honest, non-apothecial, reliable, and when I was in Canada I tried to keep the Queens peace.

I survived. My childhood was about illness and my adult life has been about survival through my stupidest actions, my stubbornness to be something not like the others, through my lack of lack of control of my personal demons. I keep pretending survival meant something. I never spoke up for myself unless I had to and unless it was a forced situation that really called for it I rarely did so for others. I stood days and nights and sleeping thoughts and I gave piety towards the face in the mirror for being such a good bastard at being a continued existence mannequin.

A few months ago, almost a year ago actually I quit my day job. I hated the way the company did business; I hated how they treated employees… Fuck! Shit…they treated me like crap when they found out they could bring me to my knees to keep my job… … … The job did pay well though, I got vacation days, and bills got paid with left over cash. All I had to do was continue to survive. I took action on a normal day that surviving was not good enough anymore and I quit. I was feed up and I walked away.

Ani Difranco has a song were she wrote, “I have better things to do than survive.”

Last night I was in bed with Wave as she started to drift off into sleep. I do not want things to be hard for her. I want to be strong enough to help us have a life that does not depend on due days… is being a man about… is being a good person about… when does a man have to choose to just… I choose not to just survive? Why? Now months later I am having a hard time finding a new job. My former employer I’m told has been trashing me in the local industry that I was in and I really wouldn’t mind because I really hated that sort of work after almost five years doing it but… …But I have been told by a lot of possible potential employers that they will not hire me because of my bad teeth which I do not have the money to have fixed right now. They will not hire me to be a manager, a cashier, stock boy, sandwich maker, stock girl, or even dishwasher. I guess I need a nice smile to shine in the plates but… My health is failing also, it maybe the teeth causing it, or maybe it is that all those years of just surviving has finally caught up with me…

…but I will survive and I hate myself with a passion for that.

THE TITLE IS: CALL THEM CHEAP

Watched Black Adder Disc One. I have been meaning to check out this series for years but have put off buying it for other picks but now through wonderful power of libraries I am getting a chance to watch what many consider a classic. One of the reasons I finally checked these out is so Wave could see Hugh Lurie in something else. She has a thing for him. Me, I prefer Chase in case any of you areHouse fans like us. Though he did not appear on the Black Adder disc I checked out so he must appear later in the series. Time for GEEK RESEARCH!!!

I also received from the library yesterday Steamboy. I have been wanting to see this since its release. I think I will watch it today while making some story notes on ACCORDING TO TESTING, PART THREE.

And speaking of my writing walkabout of life. I was sitting last night around 1am writing a..., well,...writing a writing schedule for the lack of talent on my part to phrase something so simple differently. This is so I do not bog myself down into really getting nothing down by trying every idea that pops into my head. I am learning that as I writer if I want to be productive I have to set goals, push myself to and within those goals, and push up, punk up, and have the balls to meet those goals.

I hardly slept at all last night and my head did not head the bed until around 7 this morning. If I had been writing that would have been fine since I would have been being productive but I was in mouth pain and was just reading and watching Are You Being Served? and I read two quick filler of my brain reads last night in Heartbreak&Triumph: The Shawn Michaels Story and Ric Flair: To Be The Man. Both enjoyable if you are interested in the backstage and lives of professional wrestlers. I grew up watching Ric Flair so it was pretty good for me to get the chance to read about his life.

I'm typing this as my head is killing me. My mouth is hurting. And my ears ringing. I think I'm falling apart. Where are the King's men when you need them? Proabably off fucking the wholeweeble wobbles family.

THE TITLE IS: HELPING

I don't have any money to give but I understand because I'm going through a shit load of pain myself with my teeth needing work quick. Hopefully I will get my tax return soon. I had a cross bite myself for years and with me not being the best at taking care of my teeth it lead to the situation I'm in now. So if you can help a artist follow the link above and there you will find how to help out.

I do not know this person personally but know how it is to be trying to make your way through life doing a job that does not include dental plans. Hell, that is true of most jobs in this country but I will not go into a rant. Give if you can.

THE TITLE IS: MARKED OFF

We paid a visit to the library yesterday to drop off some things before heading for some party supplies, some beer, chips, nuts, and other junk. Ran into Touch while there. I was standing looking at the new arrival shelf when I turned and she was right beside me. We had spotted her car outside but I did not see her when I first came in. If you read this P. sorry we did not chat more but we were in a hurry and had to get a lot of stuff done because a friend we had not seen in a long time was coming over.

After the library visit we stopped off at Sonic for burgers and corndogs. I love me's some corndogs this Billy sure does. Then we were off to the food market before heading home to clean up the place a little before Piper came over. The night was a good one sitting around, drinking, listening to music, talking, and watching movies. Cool simple stuff with a friend.

This morning I wokeup early because of a stomach upset that lasted all through the night. After I whipped up some coffee, soda, and toast for breakfeast Wave moved onto the computer to tackle some homework while I started my morning reading Doom Patrol: The Painting That Ate Paris which leaves me with very little of Grant Morrison's DC early work that I have not read. I need to see if one of the libraries has Doom Patrol: Crawling From The Wreckage, The Filth, and Mystery Play. I'm waiting for his new Batman stuff to start arriving at the local library. From interviews with him it seems like his approach is very interesting.

And speaking of Batman. I picked up a double feature DVD of Batman: SubZero/Mask of the Phantasm for only 9dollars at Target. I'm on a linking roll today...sorry... Wave is helping me become a better bargain shopper and less of an impulse buyer. Finding a deal like that is pretty sweet, especially considering that Batman The Animated Series is one of my favorite animated series. I am a huge fan of the DC Comics shared animated universe that consisted of Batman The Animated Series, Superman The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman Beyond, and Static Shock. If you love DC's books and wish to introduce someone to the characters I say first show them these shows.

Well, I think I may have geek speaked everyone into sickness so I'll leave for now.

THE TITLE IS: WHAT WILL BE THE LOGO ON MY TOMBSTONE....MAYBE STARBUCKS?

I have 15 books on hold at the library. If all of those come in at once and Wave has to lug them all home to me she will kick my ass.

I love all things Neil Gaiman and can not wait until this movie comes out. Scroll down and you will find the YouTube version if your computer is like ours and does not do video files sometimes in a way that is best to our viewing pleasures.

And since I posted a link to one video file here is another to an interview with Jeff Smith the creator of Bone.

If I only had a brain...Oh, no, I meant if I only had cash in my bank account.

A very talented Giants fan created this Tin Universe logo for me. His name is Vinny Bove and you can check out his talent further at his website. I wanted something a little flank and 1980's computers sort of like the Hitchhikers logo that that Douglas Adams hated for his book series. I like this sort of thing for the Tin Universe since it is a my take on superheroes but done with with a heart of insanity within it. And if you have not seen the Hitchhikers logo I speak of go here.

THE TITLE IS: Old News Still Pisses Me Off

Bush Urges Approval of New Spying Bill & Telecom Immunity
Bush also urged lawmakers to approve a new surveillance bill that would grant immunity to telecom companies that aided warrantless spying on U.S. citizens.
President Bush: “This means that if you do not act by Friday, our ability to track terrorist threats would be weakened and our citizens will be in greater danger. The Congress must ensure the flow of vital intelligence is not disrupted. The Congress must pass liability protection for companies believed to have assisted in the efforts to defend America. We have had ample time for debate. The time to act is now.”

I know this is old news but me being pissed off is not. I found the link saved for some reason in my bookmarks. My mind was telling me to scream and I got sidetracked I do think.
To give immunity to large corperations who are probably doing everything the goverment wants them to anyways is just bullshit. And yes bullshit is my articulate stance. This anal probe into the freedoms we enjoy like Mr. Bush's signing statements are not only a cowardice way of covering their own backs from the fists of the people they say they serve, it is actually also them saying we know what we are doing is illegal and maybe even immoral but let me cover my ass in case there is still a justice system around in a few years.

Billie is in a raged mood right now. More rage may follow this.

We did a bunch of window shopping today at Best Buy and B&N but now we are just relaxing watching, From Hell and reading, Bust.

THE TITLE IS: TELL ME I'M A BAD MAN AND KICK ME LIKE A STRAY

I have spent the past few days trying to clean up the apartment, to make force with a heavey spiked hammer more productive habits into my days, and generally trying to make my inner spirit match my inner desires.

Things I've read or watched recently: Speak was a good little movie lead by a strong Kristen Stewart in the lead though in film this story comes off as just a above par made for tv movie. I recommend the book more than the movie. Watched while writing Stripes, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, and the middle two and the best of the Jack Ryan movies.

Also read from the library Clubbing. A good quick read but I still think the comic industry is losing money thinking the only thing female readers want to read is manga clones. I also read Superman: Infinite Crisis.

I checked out All-Star Superman: Vol. 1. Grant Morrison hits the mark again and this is one of the best group of Superman stories I have ever read. I think Morrison gets it. The reason the old Superman stories worked was not all punch ups and showing off of Superman. It was mixing Superman with scifi and the way off weird that makes the character shine and boy does it here.

Typed up the next chapter of According To Tests or testing? Still haven't decided which way to go from here on with the title. Though since this is fun and getting a story out of my system I can take my time.

Long hightlighed link up there wasn't it? Sorry...

Tomorrow I will be doing more laundry, cleaning more, work on the short story that will be appearing in April or May, and also working on the short story collection for The Tin Universe series. Diving back into putting more stories I've written onto computer files.(have tons of stacks...I mean it, tons, ask Wave.)

THE TITLE IS: I'M NOT MR. CLEAN, I STILL HAVE MY HAIR...but not my teeth :(

Finished reading Mary Jane and We3 and I highly recommend them both. Grant Morrison along with Warren Ellis are the two comic book industry writers who I would give anything they wrote a try. I have enjoyed almost every thing they have put out and even in times of not being overblown by something such as Morrison's JLA run, I still enjoyed the read.

Just downloaded some podcasts and ripped some cds to begin a sort of spring cleaning around the place.

THE TITLE IS: ACCORDING TO TESTING? TESTS? DUMB FUCK!

According To Tests: Part One is finished and ready for PDF download. I ran into some snags on LuLu though. One was when the machine keep rejecting my cover even though it was up to specs so the cover on the website does not match the one within the PDF of part one and the one I wanted to use. I used one of their generic ones though to get the first part out on time. The other snag I ran into was trying to set it up as a free download. It would not work for some reason even thought you are suppose to be able to do this and I was going to set it at a 25 cents fee after not being able to fix that problem but thought no one would use their credit or debit cards for such a small purchase so I raised it to one dollar which only sends 80 cents my way after they get their cut. But this is not all bad news...well, unless months from now no one has even downloaded Part One, but I was thinking while fighting with the thing that I will turn According To Tests also into a sort of show case of not only my little bits of writing and art but also to the talents of those I know; so, I will be sending out emails to friends asking them to submit stuff to it if they have anything they wish to push on a weekly basis.

Now that the long winded rant is over. Here is the link to According To Tests: Part One. Oh, and I think I have the title written as According To Testing in places. Shows what happens when your teeth are killing you and you have to take pain killers multiaple times a day to push it away a little.

THE TITLE IS: THE VICAR OF GOTHEM CITY

Last night I finished watching from the library Vicar Of Dibley: Series One and Series Two. One of my all time favorite comedies. Also this morning I pulled off my shelfs Batman Begins and Superman Returns. I was in the mood for watching two of DC Comics big three as I was waking up and having a read through Batman: Arkham Asylum which I spotted at the library the other days. I am always suprised when I read it somewhere else that it has not made its way into my collection as of yet as I have most of Grant Morrison's work from the big two. One of the best Batman books ever and a really peice of fine story telling.

Just got through putting a bunch of stuff on hold at the library. Wave's going to start charging me delivrey charges. I guess I had better really get the dishes done tonight or my ass is going to get kicked.

I finally make the choice of what will be the next book release in the Tin Universe ebook series. I was writing three books at the same time with the notion that when I finished the first drafts of each of them I would then make the choice. All three first drafts are finished now and I made the choice but it will be none of those three and instead of one of them I'm going to go with a short story collection instead. I'm mad, I know, but this will better set up the next part of the universe building that I am doing with this series.

My father seems to be doing ok from his surgery. He was just released from the Step Down Room at the hospital from as my mom called it, "The room where they had him plugged into all kinds of stuff."

I'm still waiting for my tax papers from my last employer. I think this will turn out messy since they really bad mouthed me when I left to other companies and were not pleased at all that I left after being treated like shit. I'm just in the mood though with all the shit going on in my life to go for a big fight.

THE TITLE IS: TRIPLE

I found out a few minutes ago that they preformed a triple bypass on my father today. From what my brother told me they said he seems to be fine but they will not know for sure for a few days and may have to go back in. I'm going to put off posting the first chapter of ACCORDING TO TESTING until Friday so I can get my head clear because right now I'm barly in any sort of state of living more or less one of editing the first chapter of an ongoing blog story. But writing the first draft on paper has really helped me during this time and it will be a project important to me for if not any other reason than what was on my mind while writing it.

Made a few trips around yesterday to libraries and the local comic book shop before heading home. I plowed throught the following to help certain things be drawned out my mind for a while. We watched Match Point though I had it confused with Wimbledon. Though I like both Dunst and Scarlett but I have not see Wimbledon. Match Point was ok and to be honest would be worth a mention if not for Scarlett. She is one of Wave's favorites.

I pulled Elektra off my shelf in a fit of maddness and watched it. Though owning it might be a sign of maddness all in and of itself. Though any bad taste floating along my brain stem was replaced when I watched Monty Python And The Holy Grail for the uptenth time. Did I use uptenth correctly? I think it was my first time using it? Anyways, the best film ending ever made if you ask me. And you should be asking me because my genius should be shared...Did I spell genius right?

I also watched two television series sets from the library in Father Ted: Series One and Batman The Animated Series: Season Four. Batman The Animated Series is one of the best animated series ever produced from anywhere and I want them all but right now I only own seasons 1 and 2. Father Ted was a series I had heard about for years and decided to finally give it a try. It was ok but did not live up the hype I had been feed for so long.

On the graphic novel front I picked up from the library Green Lantern, Wanted: Hal Jordan and also Batman: Bruce Wayne - Fugitive, Vol. 1 and Batman: Bruce Wayne - Fugitive, Vol. 2. Green Lantern has always been one of my favorite DC Comics characters and I will read anything about them but I was caught by surprise and actualy enjoyed The Bruce Wayne Fugitive collections also.

I think that is all you people need to hear from me right now.

THE TITLE IS: DEALING

I handle things in my life I suspect in the same way most writers do and that is to take out your favorite story telling tool and begin to write, not always about the thing that is effecting your life, but in a way I write to be within that something. Though most writers do it with fewer spelling and grammar mistakes than good old Mr. Billie here.

With something that is taking place in my life write now I am addressing it through fiction, through fantasy, through emotions. It's not therapy. It's living within the thoughts be it for the good of my life or the other side.

For a long time I have thought about putting something on the blog for free and I once back in my LiveJournal daily entry days I did a story presented as chapters in a weekly series. That is what I will be doing here. Starting tomorrow I will be posting the first chapter in ACCORDING TO TESTING. A YA story about growth, pain, and dealing with family in ways we sometimes must do so even if we would rather be addmittly selfious and egotisic and do anything else but.

And once again sorry for the lack of a spell check in this entry. Not that I ever think before posting really but I promise The series will be edited.... To a point.

THE TITLE IS: FICTIONAL HATE

No matter what they will never forget your crime,
The sun shines through the shadows and you come up for air,
No more holding the face that has broken your mind,
The rivers have dried up and it is not longer time,
I beg you don’t cry up a dare,
Please stand up little priest and quit begging at my feet,
All of yours is now mine,

Standing together is all we have as a people of no today,
I hold you as your blood drips onto the floors of my life,
I would have hoped you would not see my face,
I was angry, I was mad,
I beg you don’t cry because I’m ready to walk way, Leave,
Please no more scratches at my back,
This lie has dried up and you no longer can hide,
I kissed your Christ and he has nothing to do with me,

Lets change this tempo and get angry at the Gods who look after number one,
Lets shout at all the shades of gray,
Lets swim among the sharks and wonder about the wonderous whispers,

THE TITLE IS: Doctor Who and Kaena

Picked up some extra reading with The Vanished Library: Wonder of the Ancient World by Luciano Canfora. Wave was using it for a class and I decided I wanted to read it also.

Last night we watched The Libertine with Johnny Depp. It was an interesting movie. Depp deserved an nomination for this film. I thought this was one of his best acting performances.

After a trip to the library that saw me pick up Raising Genius, Kaena: The Prophecy, Legion of Superheroes: Volume One, and As Time Goes By. A good load of DVD viewing.

Wave bought me the first issue of Doctor Who: Classics at the local comic book store. She is so good to her favorite geek. They are reprints but they redid the coloring on the stories which so far looks pretty nice.

THE TITLE IS: TIGERS IN AN HOURGLASS

Last night I finished reading Byzantium! by Keith Topping. I enjoyed the book. A good dropping off of the Tardis crew into the middle of history. Some might say this story could have worked as a short story with a lot of cutting but I really enjoyed the slow process of getting to know the characters and I do not mean slow in a negative way. Maybe the story could have been cut down but it moved along smoothly and I enjoyed it greatly. Topping did his research and it showed and was enjoyed by this reader.

Now in my Doctor Who reading I'm moving onto The Eleventh Tiger by David A. Mcintee. Reading these 1st Doctor novels makes me as a writer see how hard it is to capture that time period of Doctor Who history.

I'm also started reading Interworld by Neil Gaiman and Michael Reaves today. Wave plans to read this also so it will be one of the few times we both are reading something. Her tastes tend to lean towards non-fiction while unless I'm doing research I hardly ever read non-ficiton. She's the nerd and I'm the geek.

That covers my reading life as of this blog entry. I need to do a saved links clearing entry later if I get some work done first. See you in the Pathon papers,
