Talking with Mar and there was Trudy Beekman, John Green, And Skeletor

Like a pregnant woman with cravings and insulting compassion I'm making, I sometimes, though depression, get cravings also and those can led strange roads of conversation.
Me: Tacos... Mashed Potatoes With Gravy... Cheese Burgers... distracted by random thoughts of fooooood.
Mar: stfu
Mar: I want all of those things
Me: I want them more than you do
Mar: not possible
Mar: you know how I feel about mashed potatoes
Me: If you cared. If you really cared you'd call them by their proper name- smashed potatoes
Mar: meh meh meh "I'm Trudy Beekman and I'm on the co-op board and I'm going on a blimp." MEEEEE HHHH!
Me: Trudy, you needs to chill. Calm down. Find you a shady place out of the sun {in joke}
Me: You are a miniature of Mallory Archer and Skeletor. All three with whinny voices.
Mar: John Green is going to be at Leakeycon
Me: changing gears?
Mar: and Laurie Halse Anderson
Me:*faints*
Me: I wonder if he would sign my tit?
Mar:And Amber Benson
Me: I have two tits!!!
Me: We could take Garfield and get all the tits signed by all the writers!
Mar: You are weird
Mar: just odd
Me: Wonder if Hank will be there?
Me: Then I could get a corndog signed!!
Mar: Anywaaaaays, John Green!!!

While Writing there was Roku, Sexplanations, and MASH

When I got up this morning I was planning to write about first episodes of random anime series I watched on Netflix but someone borrowed our Roku box so changing gears.
    Roku?
    Ruku?
    Roko?
I say it a different way just about every time.
Today while writing, since its While Writing Wednesday, I'm going to talk a little about shows with new episodes that were in my inbox when I got up this morning as well as a little rant about my MASH DVDs which will be the background for the rest of my writing day.

AmandasChronicles: Flappy Bird Deported NOT Bieber?
I love AmandasChronicles. I discovered her channel because Hank Green mentioned it on an episode of Vlogbrothers. Really creative, fun, and with a lot of energy and wink of crazy dance alone life.
     Vlogbrothers: A Middle Aged Man
Speaking of Vlogbrothers. I started watching Vlogbrothers about three years ago and now I watch just about everything Hank and John Green are involved with. Some of the most balanced discussions I've ever seen have been with Hank and John on very varied topics from Giraffe sex to global economies.
Speaking of shows John Green is involved with that I like. At one time I checked out the Mental Floss website daily until a site redesign just put me off but I love this series. Though to be honest I only watch the episodes that John Green does.
Another truth to tell, even though this is Hanks channel, I only watch the episodes with John playing FIFA. I don't have cable right now and the only thing I miss is watching sports;which are the best background noise for writing. I get just as much into watching these videos as I did any blood and guts sporting events.
Another Green connected show. Sexplanations is honest, funny, to the point, and this episode explored a little bit of the history of censorship this country has had with sexual thingees.

Anyone who knows me knows MASH is one of my all time favorite TV shows. Mar will tell you when we first moved in together I was going through a faze of watching my DVDs of the show over and over and over again to the point were I might be the reason she always reads while watching TV now.
The only reason I would think about buying new MASH DVDs or whatever is because my originals take 8 fucking steps to start each episode. They didn't start putting even a second of thought into the design of the menus of these discs until halfway through the series.
     And NO PLAY ALL!
     I need Play All.
Which while on the subject Netflix needs bad.
MASH and a Play All function.
I was a little sad the other day when Netflix's Twitter said they were adding MASH and it was the movie, which I like, but still- sad :(

other things of possible interest,

Doctor Who, Boobies, and Beer

Early yesterday I went into a Doctor Who rant on Facebook; which can be a dangerous thing for me when it comes to Doctor Who. It's like a crackhead visiting an old friends house that just so happens to moonlight as a crack house.
When talking with my friend Touch about the whole spill of what number regeneration and number body is the Doctor currently on I hit rant point and paragraphs came out of me.
     And more now.
The fucking body and regeneration thing being different numbers is just stupid. If that's the case what number is The Watcher that helped the 4th Doctor regenerate or The Valeyard? It's taking a concept that's complicated to a lot of people to begin with and making it even more completed by trying to explain away things perfectly. There's a difference between creator and fan games, that's a fan game.
Every time anyone connected with the show tries to explain it they just make it more convoluted. They should of just said when time was changed in regards to the Time War John Hurt's Doctor became a paradox and that's why he regenerated right away into the 9th Doctor, it was time correcting itself. Because that's basically what the story said but NOOOO Moffat and everybody has to feed into fans bullshit and try to please everyone while actually pleasing no one.
Over and over again people seem to forget fan stands for fanatic. Fans are like a spoiled child by nature. You don't give them candy because they are crying or being good for once, you do sparingly but without a pattern they can take advantage of.
My problem isn't with people talking about this whole, that's a lot of the fun in any fandom, my problem is with the people working with the show talking about something instead of showing it in a story. Either show it like you want to be in a story{which I had thought they had done} or just say that's for everyone to have a view on.
Because in the end the internet has this irrational hate on for Moffat and he isn't doing himself any favors by feeding the beast.
This is the third thing I read him say about this since the special and other people with the show have made comments. Just show with the stories, that's all.

Later while helping a relative troubleshoot a website problem{You know you don't know shit about something technology based when I'm helping you with tech stuff.}I watched a few episodes of my favorite web series, I'm so behind but I only made a comment on one of them. Sorry to disagree with one of my Gods in John Green but American beer isn't the best. It's only function isn't one of taste but to allow idiots to drink as much beer as possible with other idiots cheering them on because its mainly piss water or around here Brevard County water. Maybe they brew all American beer secretly in this area?

Another of my Gods is David Lubar. Speaking of him, David Lubar on Twitter is one of the best things about Twitter. Such as = "Fox's Megyn Kelly tells viewers that Jesus was white. I guess it's just a matter of semantics. Or Semitics. Jesus wasn't white. Everyone knows Jesus is an Hispanic name."

We went out after Mar got home to find some last minute gifts and craft stuff. While Mar was looking for something at the Dollar Store I was talking to someone in an exchange on Facebook about the issue of students being allowed to wear Support The Boobies type stuff at schools.
My opinion is a lot of people only wear that stuff as an excuse to wear something that says boobies on it and act like its for charity or activism. In this case I stand with these students because boys have had Big Johnson shirts for years and no one goes after them but mention a womens breasts in any way and its STOP THE SMUT!

When we were out looking for a gift, just before coming home, I ran into someone handing out pamphlets. As someone who has been on that side of things I know its not easy but there is a proper way to do it. You ask, you be polite, and you don't bug people. The following is what I tweeted after this encounter: No PETA person I don't want your pamphlet and you being an asshole when I politely said "No thank you" is one example why your group is shit.
To say I don't like PETA is an understatement. They only care about publicity and do as much to help save animals, if not less, as your average slaughter house. Egocentric assholes who hide behind supposed activism to play club house party.

     Now for some shameless self-promotion.

 From the Tin Universe Store:

That's the first poster in a series of inspiration posters I made for myself but also have available for sale. There are also a lot more Tin Universe materials in that store, many featuring the covers to my new book coming out on the 22nd of this month. It will be available for download on my Smashwords store for $1.00 per download. Like I've said before if you buy something from one of my stories I'll email you a PDF of Tin Universe Middle Grade Series #1 for free. To The Beach With Wintergirls And Someone Named Alaska

"Dad, please don't go to the beach. The beach isn't our thing. It's one big litter box. Who plays in a litter box?  Well, besides Salem. We- you and me are couch people. Sitting and watching Doctor Who is our thing. Plus I never have anyone to sit on when you go places."

This is the man Mar goes out into public with.

On the way to the beach we stopped off at the library and I let Mar pick out two books for me to start at the beach.

Beautiful view from Barrier Island Center. If you have never been there you need to go. It's a great place to enter the beach from. Visit there for a picnic on their balcony.

They've added some whale skulls. Fucking whale skulls people.

Mar went directly to the water while I read the first few pages from each of the books to choose which one I wanted to fully dive into.

The winner was Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson.

A little bird came by to remind me I still have a deadline this weekend.

The beach won and Mar fell into her chair after a lot of play.

While I was fully into my book.

We left the beach and went home to clean the apartment and ourselves because one of Mar's friends was coming over to watch Hunger Games over pizza.
I'd pay for the pizza all through the night.

Where I talk about Just some cool links and rants.

This week has been shit for blogging from me. Between bad weather taking me off the computer and being sick I'm about to call it for the week. Next week we return to the regular blogging schedule. Until then check out some of these cool link I briefly talk about below.

I understand people out of the sport or in need of money doing this but come on Cam.
When people ask me if the criticism that comes from self-publishing is worth it to me. My answer is this. When I was younger it probably wouldn't have been so but now, I'm older, closer to death and when you are closer to your death than your birth you really develope an attutuide of fuck you if someone has a problem that goes beyond just look at the art and commenting.
I love how as a nation we are following along blindly as people within and outside our government push and get away with taking us back decades when it comes to food safety and work place safety all in the sheep gaze of being told that this helps companies. Help business? Yeah it helps business. So does owning slaves but we so far aren't asking if that should return. Yet. Give some of these people time. Where I talk about my current favorite comic, TV, and web series.

I wonder what I'm going to write about today....?

How about a little cheat entry made up of two top-ten lists.

Current Top-Ten Comic Books{these are for the most part books I'm following in trades}:
1- Y The Last Man
* I'm on volume 8. I pick up one or two volumes of this series a year and it never disappoints. One of my favorite comics of all time. Great writer, great interior art, and some of the best covers I've ever seen.
2- Buffy The Vampire Slayer (the season series)
* Loved season eight and looking forward to getting the first volume of season nine. I saw it the other day at the comic book store but I was already planning to pick up the new Guild trade so maybe next time.
3- Naruto
* The void in me from no more Harry Potter was filled by Naruto and it continues to be one of the best, most creative, and heart pounding stories in manga or any other comic book storytelling form. The last few volumes were a  little too Naruto less for me but right now I have Volume 57 sitting in front of me ready to go.
4- X-Factor
* Peter David writing X-Factor means I'm buying X-Factor. Probably my favorite Marvel book over the past five or so years. The only mainstream superhero books I was buying for a long time were Secret Six and X-Factor.
5- Batwoman
* Some of the best art in any comic going whether its mainstream superhero stuff or not. One of my favorite DC characters right now.
6- Animal Man
* I have always loved Animal Man. I have all the old trades and love his appearances in the old Justice League Europe series, which I'd love to have in trade also; so I had to pick up the first volume of the reboot and I wasn't disapointed. Can't wait until Volume 2 and this will also lead me to reading Swamp Thing in the New 52 DC Universe.
7- Saga
* I bought the first four issues of Saga and now will be going only trades with it but not because I don't like it, the complete other way is true, I will be buying these trades for a long time into the future.
8- Wonder Woman
* Was looking forward to volume one of the reboot of Wonder Woman so much that I even bought this in hardcover and as anyone who reads my blog, or my Twitter, or my Facebook, or is near me at the right rant moments knows I had hardcover comic books.
9- Stormwatch
* I enjoyed the first volume and though I'm disappointed Paul Cornell left the series I really like the whole concept of how it was relaunched and how its meant to fit into the overall DC Universe.
10- DMZ
* I got volume one of DMZ for free at my local comic book store Famous Faces And Funnies as part of their Free Comic Book May promotion. Volume 2 is on my list as I think I've found another series to add to my trade buying.
     {Remember check out your local comic book shop for all of these great series}

Current Top-Ten TV or Web Series:
1- Doctor Who
* THE BEST TELEVISION SERIES OF ALL TIME! A lot of the modern Doctor Who is on Netflix and a few classic stories. More classic stories Netflix, please. NOW!!!
2- Bob's Burgers
* "I think I have a yest infection. Would you smell my fingers?" and so this show had me with those lines. Bob's Burgers is currently on Netflix and has passed both The Simpsons and South Park in my viewing love for animated comedies.
3- The Big Bang Theory
* Smart, creative, well acted, well written, and a great sitcom that plays with modern view points in a classic sense of what a sitcom is. In so many ways BBT is a throw back to old sitcoms.
4- Young Justice
* The best superhero animated series on television. Though the current Invasion story makes you wonder if the series has a goal point, it still is sharply written during these overall story arcing movements with individual  character high points and fan wank moments that never feel like wank.
5- The Guild
* Felicia Day did not only create my favorite web series ever. I truly think she energized the whole creative heart of the internet whether asswipes who go after her want to admit it or not. The lady is a creative force that makes me excited for each and every thing she takes part in. One of my inspirations to keep at my projects. You can find The Guild currently on Netflix or on Felicia Day's YouTube channel Geekandsundry. The DVD sets are really cheap on Amazon also.
6- Archer
* "Dangerzooone."
7- Crash Course
* The educational videos of Hank and John Green get me interested in so many things that, I, in the past, had not one bit of interest in because I didn't think I was smart enough.
8- Game Of Thrones
* Not a huge fantasy fan but a friend told me I should check this series out when it started and it's a stop point at our apartment whenever new episodes come out.
9- Vlogbrothers
* The series that started it all for the Green brothers is still one of my favorite shows.
10- Hank Games
* Well, I have to admit I'm more of a Hank Games without Hank fan when his brother John plays FIFA Football.

*how come whenever I try to do a cheat fast entry it ends up drowned in links and ramble? Maybe I should just post pictures with text everyone is putting onto every picture online and call it a day?

Where I talk about comments John Green made about the future of publishing and also stuffs.

While I watched storm winds try to destroy our balcony garden yesterday I was also watching some Hank Games Without Hank with John Green starting with The Future of Publishing: The Miracle of Swindon Town #136
I love watching these John Green videos as he plays FIFA not only for the game play but also because he always ends up talking about some very interesting things as he plays the game. I have a great deal of respects for John Green and love all of his web content and currently listening to a couple of his books while exercising. It's slow going, not because the books aren't good, but because I'm a lazy sod.
I also don't want people to think I'm trying to take on points that John Green talks about because one, I'm not that smart and two, it's not true, I'm more or less using what he discussed as a springboard for me to talk about things I enjoy to discuss and want to address my own views on these issues. This was me free form thinking while watching the videos.
I don't necessarily disagree with what John says in the first video about publishing but I just have a couple things. One is if an editor is as much of an influence on a lot of books as John says shouldn't they be listed as co-writers of a work or at least be listed on the covers. I know the cover thing is a marketing issue but if a editor had a beyond normal influence on my books I want to credit them properly. I have a big issue with work load getting proper work load credit. A example is recently I was working with an artist on a graphic novel project and it went from me being the writer and him artist in the agreed credits to me telling him after about six pages that he needed to be listed as co-writer because that's what I felt was the right thing.
Another thing to something John mentioned about how the publisher model being the best is how I think modern publishing has failed in many degrees because of its lack of creative forward thinking and by also producing just as much crap as any self-publishing model has done. You can't rip self-publishing for quality issues alone because my friends read a lot and see crap and I read a lot and if I'm spotting mistakes in your work then that says a lot about how the state of quality publishing in general needs to be addressed whether we are talking big publisher or self-publisher. This is not an excuse for self-publishers to put out materials not ready for release but at least they aren't spending thousands of dollars on what sometimes is the same levels of quality checks.
     Notice I said sometimes.
     Sometimes.
I think people have lost confidence in the major publishers to publish, show, and shine a light on the best that's out there.
The Future of Publishing, Part 2: The Miracle of Swindon Town #137 I think writers can reach readers in so many more creatives ways in this day and age. Big publishers are still falling farther behind in trying to tap into the new media methods. They are spending more money and time but failing in any creative or long lasting way.
I agree with him on some of the differences between the film and music industry and the publishing industry but I've worked in both in very low levels and I will tell you they both do a lot of nothing with a lot of money, that's something they very much have in common. They aren't the same but that's easy to see with a little study.
I think publishing is going towards the Hollywood model, and I agree with John That's Not A Good Thing, in ways such as trying to hit trends even if with a little research they could discover that trend is already tired, dead, and over. They trying to appeal to the masses with brainless approaches and less risk taking is the result. That's why I think people are finding more comfort in finding books by writers websites, blogs, Twitter, and the like. That can cause issues if you settle into a little area or community on the internet and stop exploring for new and different things. Writers who already have a web following or self-published writers who are taking the risks sometimes that big publishers are scared of are the leaders of the industry.
     That's my opinion.
     But I think I'm right.
     About my opinion.
Like I said before for a lot of readers the big publishers have just lost their way in their methods of showing you great stories. If they ever really had a grasp on that method as their main focal point. Readers are going on their own journey and happily doing so to find books they want to read. I also love when people talk about loving literature being about a broad surface of books but then anything outside of the big publisher market doesn't fit that?
John mentioned how a lot of bookstores are closing. The decline of bookstores is also hurt sometimes by bad stores. Since I was able to read I've always bugged everyone I'm with wherever I go to check out any used bookstores I see and to be honest most suck. People hate to say that but its just true. I think the good ones have and will survive unless the economic situation in a given area is just really bad because they are creative and forward thinking. The digital/print sales issues when it comes to brick and dirt stores can be worked out with clear creative thinking. I with everything I have believe this. I think when it comes to the issue of the closure of those stores hurting people getting books that brings up the issue of the digital divide and I've ranted on that in the past but hate that this is almost never addressed in these types of discussions.
For anyone who thinks I'm just ranting for self-publishing because I self-publish I will tell you I'm ranting because publishers have put the industry into the fuck wrecks its currently in  and that a still young and full of problems option(self-publishing) maybe a better option in the long run. Just as media content industries failed when it came to evolving to new technologies, creating this huge black market pirating industry, they also failed in providing readers with new, original, and ground breaking content. I whole heartily believe the self-publishing industry is in its infinticey but I also think it will have to grow or the whole of publishing will suffer because the big companies are not learning any lessons from their failures.
Anyone want to argue that they are?
Again as I'm said over and over. Any self-publisher that can afford it should hire an editor. Any self-publisher who can afford it should hire a cover artist. But not every writer can do that and I don't think they should be shoved into the publishing is about perfection delusion, because prose is the only art form that has to be that way, which is stupid, I see lots of shit by big publishers. As I've stated if you can take the ax hacking of readers on your not finished book I believe the sushi writing mood of crowd surfed editing can work.
     Just have your shields up.
And don't check you stats that much.
.... and maybe a couple beers in hand when you hit upload.

Where I talk about redistricting, voting, and licking.

Sometimes I think laws in this country are enacted by three headed goats who only have the agenda of "I can do stupid" and also, "Look I can lick my own balls and it be his balls too."
One such salty ball tasting lick is the fact that redistricting is allowed in election years. Now redistricting is a needed thing. It helps set government action into motion in a way that best serves the community as a whole but it has also been used since day one of redistricting to suppress voting, mislead citizens, and control the political structure.
Redistricting has always been a little powerful tool to be used for racist and classist politics, and that's why !Holy Shit! why are they allowed to redistrict in a election year?
I had a friend who just registered to vote for the first time in Florida earlier this year. He got his card. It told him where he needed to vote. A few months later he gets another card with different information.
The confusion that can come from situations like that is on purpose. They know to the word what they are doing. They are hoping a lot of people end up not being able to vote on election day or are so frustrated that they don't vote.
I got a card like that also. Within a election year my voting location changed. You might not think that sort of thing is much but that's why most of America is walking around like the sheep we are. We are just thinking like complete dipshits.
In the past I voted a number of times absentee ballot because I was either in another state or country at the time of elections. I learned a lesson from that when it turned out a number of cases of absentee votes in Virginia didn't turn up until after the election. They were mainly from military citizens but who knows, mine could have been in there also. I learned this was something I needed as a citizen to watch out for. Something everyone should be doing but it seems just like myself it takes a personal attack on your voting rights for Americans to give a damn.
I live in a state that is the current model and the front lines of voter purges. Florida you are always so not unchanging in your ability to head desk so many people by your fuckwank actions.
I'll here end this with a little lesson on redistricting and voting suppression in general. Now I'm not a teacher or anything, I'm not even that bright, but I can do a Google search. I can read. I can use my eyes, ears, and brain to see what is going on and so unless you like the way voters are being suppressed and voting rights are being stripped then you should be educated to issues like how other states are taking Florida's lead, what gerrymandering is besides a strange word used on Fox News and MSNBC, here's a video about several voter issues, know your voter rights in your state, a report on voting rights in Indian Country, all of that "fraud" thats happening, and state felony voting laws. Those are just a few hairs on that ass of your of issues that you need to address. You son have a very hairy ass so there is a lot more we all need to take notice of and educate ourselves about.
How about this. How about us as a nation care about voting rights. How about us as a nation have a backbone, because if we don't, how about us as a nation stop pretending we are a nation. In time those who are being suppressed will get angry enough to change things in different ways.

Where I rere-release a old poetry collection, cool links, and for some reason no rants?

Presents:

I haven't released anything in a while so I thought I'd rerelease one of my old LuLu poetry collections on my new projects home at Smashwords. Hope you enjoy NEW EPISODE. Oh, did I mention it's free. Yes, free unless you want to pay for it. You know tip the jar so to speak. Below is one of the poems within the collection.

BOMB
Bombing for Christ,
Bombing for hate,
Bombing to push back the wait,
Bombing for joy,
Bombing for pain,
Bombing to drawn out the rain,
Bombing for war,
Now there is growth,
Bombing is just the truth,
Bombing to cut,
Bombing to kill,
Murder in a military dressed up drill,
Bombing is fun,
Bomb out the sun,
See the darkness,
Who won?

I really need to get back into reading the webcomics I love and checking out more. I haven't so I'll try and share some of what I like today:  Dork Tower is one of my favorite webcomics even if as I've said before sometimes I just don't get the game references. This one deals with the whole mess of how women characters are portrayed in fiction and a good simple way to test how you should approach ideas. Moon Freight 3 is a favorite. Gronk A Monster's Story takes a look at internet comments.
I'm really looking forward to the new Judge Dredd movie. Love the character and it has people in it I like a lot.
I don't know if I like this because it would probably mean an end to Iron Man: Armored Adventures. I like that show. A thousand times better CGI animated show than Green Lantern. Disney Mulling Iron Man Cartoon

Where I talk about banned books or discarded books and how bloggers should think about citations..

The internet is one of the most expansive tools in the history of us wobble blobs of flesh but lets also be honest. It's also full of overreaction and half knowledgeable replies.
For example, about a week ago, the fandom of one my favorite authors exaggerated a claim of censorship.  Apparently, a fan purchased a copy of one of her books from an online used book vendor. When the book arrived it was stamped "Discard."  This book was once a library book.  The fan/blogger promptly unleashed a claim of censorship without verification onto the interwebs except for saying I remember hearing it was banned. And by verification I mean, no links to news stories, no pointers to a source.
First, this bothers me because as a blogger I hear people all the time say "Well, I'm not a news outlet or professional blogger so don't hold me to those standards." That's no excuse. Backing up your words for any writer, in any form, to any means, every writer needs to back up their views with sources or people are going to question it. And please don't get angry when someone does question your thoughts and views and you have nothing to go on. When you speak of specific events, you need to back up that information with sources, links, books, something or people are going to questions whether you are just seeking attention. And when you don't answer back to questions, you look not amateur but foolish but also you as a writer are setting yourself up to be slammed for it.
Second, this bothers me a great deal because using the word DISCARD with censorship in the way it was used, and maybe not on purpose, was misleading. Not everything is censorship!  Let's talk spacial reasoning here, folks. A library cannot physically contain every book ever published in the history of ever.  Sometimes libraries have to remove or weed out or DISCARD older books to make room for new ones.  It's not censorship if it is part of routine weeding following a set of unbiased guidelines.  It is censorship if the book is removed for ideological reasons.
By stating you "heard it was censored a couple of months/years ago" does not justify a claim of censorship. Again, the need for links on the subject matter need to be used in these instances.  Back up your statement before starting a rant. I rant a lot and every time I've not done this I'm gotten ripped by not strangers but friends because they know I know better.
As you learn in 6th grade: citations, citations, citations.
I looked at the picture the blogger provided and did a 30 second Google search for the library. Also with a Google search I couldn't find one instance of that book being challenged. If someone find a case of 13 Little Envelopes by Maureen Johnson being banned please let me know and I'll edit this. The author herself said she didn't know if it being challenged.
I'm also a little disappointed in this author for promoting this unverified claim of censorship.  I love her books and I love her commentary on social issues.  But throwing out an unverified claim of censorship?  Not cool. Fans jump on that stuff without thought or most of the time fans do the jumping without even researching. Just as a big following by talent can lead to a kind of bullying, that kind of following can lead to certain kinds of sightless actions.
And you might ask why I haven't provided a link to that bloggers entry. I thought about that for a while because this happen last week. I'm not going after this person in particular because she wasn't the first or the last blogger to do this. But when you are dealing with serious issues like the banning and censorship of books you need to do your homework before posting. It will make things a whole lot simpler for you and not make you look like you're just talking out of your ass.
So the moral of the story? Back up your story with links. It cuts down on confusion, it cuts down on people questioning your motives. It just makes everything easier whether you are working for a big news outlet or just your own personal blog.

This comes up with me a lot in conversations with people. A challenge to a book is not the same as censoring a book.  A challenge is a discussion of the content of a book, debate is a healthy part of a democracy.  Censorship is the ideologically driven removal or denial of access to content.
