THE TITLE IS: WHAT? I DIDN'T DO IT!
nothing like waking up in the morning and sitting on the couch and discovering that sometime during the night one of the cats did also.... I know that couch isn't much but even I didn't think it should be pissed on.

argh. that's not kewl at all. Um...first thoughts. Kitties are in new surroundings. Might not be happy. Might be still getting used to the fact they are moved. First: Remember the litterbox rule: 1 box per cat plus 1. So you should have three boxes in the apartment and in various quieter areas if you can. Cats HATE small litter boxes--companies make them too small--get a big Sterlite container from Walmart/Target, etc. You can cut a door for the cats to enter/leave. Think really big!!! Second: Don't change the substrate. If they were used to Brand X, don't buy them Brand Y...unless you switch them really gradual...i.e. mix a little at a time. Third: Get a good neutralizer to get up the urine. They'll come back if they can still smell it. Fourth: Mention this to your vet...kitties that use places other than the box can have a UTI or something similar going on. Fifth: I'll recommend Feliway spray and diffusers to settle the cats down...it's a cat phermone...that gives off the good kitty vibes and keeps them calmer. I'll post more when I think of it.
